About me

Language and literacy are my passion. By developing these skills through the Academic Language and Learning Success Program (ALLSP) at Charles Darwin University (CDU), I hope to help students build a bridge to their future.
My study areas are diverse with an Undergraduate degree majoring in Criminology, English and Law and then for my Honours, Victorian and Feminist Literature. With a love of language instilled by my mother, I completed a Masters of Applied Linguistics with a dissertation in 'How language is used (specifically in the context of Banking in Australia)'. since joining CDU, I have completed my Graduate Certificate in University Learning and Teaching and discovered a desire to read and code assessments at university and to work with my colleagues to assist them with looking at their assessments from a students' perspective.
Another area of interest is instilling an ethical approach to academic integrity. Guiding students and creating n awareness of the importance of scholarship and integrity as they approach their studies.
